Six months ago, I had the chance to buy some deadstock rib from a company that had just been purchased and moved most of their manufacturing overseas. Rib can be tricky, it can blow out, lose its shape, or shrink too much… but after sampling, I decided this batch was worth it. And now I finally get to share it with you: the Rib Collection!

This rib has a very different hand feel than our previous ones. Since it doesn’t have Tencel modal, it’s not as soft at first touch, but it softens beautifully with wear and has excellent longevity. There’s zero spandex (no plastic!) but still plenty of natural stretch. Because there’s no spandex, it’s a bit more relaxed, yet we’ve found it keeps its shape well, especially after washing.

Each color is slightly different. Please note that shrinkage, hand feel, and even measurements can vary a little between colors:

100% organic cotton: Black, Pebble, Wild Rose
100% cotton: Olivewood, Ash

Sizing + Care

These fit true to size. We recommend staying with your usual size, or sizing down if you prefer a more fitted look. For most tops, we suggest using your bust measurement as the guide. You can also check out our sizing highlight for more details.

Wash cold with similar fabrics (avoid rough items like denim or velcro) and hang to dry. This fabric is not preshrunk, so expect a small amount of shrinkage after the first wash. As with most rib knits, it will relax slightly with wear but we’ve found it bounces back and holds its shape well.
